With a dusting of powdered sugar, a sprinkle of love, and a heap of smiles, we’re thrilled to announce our upcoming holiday event, Cookie Decorating and Gingerbread House Building, on December 18th!
This special event brings our community together and allows our students to express their creativity—an integral part of the Montessori philosophy. Whether meticulously icing a sugar cookie or thoughtfully arranging gumdrops on the roof of a gingerbread house, our children will be decorating and building dreams of sweet holiday memories.
Children in our younger programs will sink their fingers into the rewarding tactile experience of cookie decorating. Rolling, cutting, sprinkling, and icing, our teachers—true nurturers of creativity and sparks of joy—will guide the little ones in creating their own tasty masterpieces. This activity aims to cultivate fine motor skills while fueling their inherent imagination.
Our children in older classes will constructively channel their STEAM skills into building their own gingerbread houses. Always guided by our educators who are experts in harnessing the power of play in learning, the children will have a chance to bring their creative visions to life.
We encourage parental involvement as part of our community-centered approach to education and growth. We would love for two parents from each class to volunteer their time to assist in this festive venture. Your presence not only brings an added layer of joy but also shows our children the beauty of community participation and extends the sense of family that is deeply embedded in our Trillium Montessori culture.
