In the heart of Texas, a magical transformation took place at Trillium Montessori. Our remarkable students embarked on an extraordinary STEAM journey—building an igloo!
The adventure began with lots of excitement and curiosity. Each child was eager to learn about igloo construction, which matched perfectly with our mission to “Learn. Grow. Succeed.” This hands-on project helped them try new ideas, solve problems, and use their imaginations.
As the children learned how igloos are built, their faces lit up with excitement. They shaped ‘snow’ blocks and discovered how domes are strong structures. With help from our Montessori-certified teachers, the kids used their knowledge and creativity to make progress step by step.
Slowly, the igloos started to take shape. The children felt proud of every step they completed, and their confidence grew as they turned simple materials into amazing igloos. This activity was a perfect way to show how much they can accomplish with teamwork and effort.
This STEAM project also helped connect what the children learn in the classroom to the real world. They saw how their skills in different areas—like math and art—could work together in fun and practical ways. It was a great reminder that learning is a lifelong journey.
This STEAM project was an opportunity to push boundaries, explore possibilities, and ignite a passionate curiosity that drives our young learners towards lifelong success.
