Last week, our students took part in a hands-on science experiment that brought some spooky fun into the classroom: the Static Electricity Ghost!
Using tissue paper, balloons, and a bit of curiosity, our students created little floating ghosts. After rubbing their balloons on hair or clothing to generate static electricity, they held them near the tissue ghosts to watch them rise and move without touching them.
Laughter and wonder filled the room as our young scientists explored how invisible forces can create motion. They asked questions, made observations, and connected what they saw to real scientific ideas, all while enjoying a festive, Halloween-themed activity.
Experiments like these help build early excitement around science. Our teaching team designs simple yet meaningful moments that let students explore the world through hands-on discovery. The Static Electricity Ghost was a great way to celebrate fall and spark new curiosity in our classrooms.
